Gopika, born Girly Anto is an actress born in Ollur in Thrissur city of Kerala state. Her parents Anto Francis and Tessy Anto named her as Girly. She has only one sister, Glini. After completing her 12th standard in St. Raphael’s, Ollur. She did her sociology from the Calicut University. She is also talented in classical dance which she learnt from her teacher Kamalher. Her first film was Pranayamanithooval, in which she starred with Jayasurya and Vineeth.

For the still in the teens Gopika, life has not been the same after she did the now famous Lajjavathi song in 4 The People in Malayalam. Then Cheran''''s Autograph in Tamil happened. And suddenly offers poured in from everywhere, and Telugu was chief among them. Gopika is a sensation which has hit Kerala. Everybody seems to be admiring her. They say that she is going to be the new Manju Warrier, the ex-super heroine, and now wife of her hero. She looks confident and has amazing screen presence. She went to Kollywood and made a mark for herself, has now made her way to Tollywood. She didn’t receive many offers from Malayalam directors despite her stupendous performance in Chanthupottu. So she has packed her bags to do an action cum thriller Telugu flick. She will be playing the role of a journalist who investigates a certain case. Though Malluwood has not been fair to her, she has plenty of success in Tamil. She has just one movie in Malayalam at present with Dileep. To her, language is never a barrier as the characters must suit her. Great Going Gopika!!!!

Gopika married Dr. Ajilesh who is working as a Doctor in Ireland on July 17, 2008. She has come back to the cinema industry after marriage (Swantham Lekhakan)and says that she will act in more films if she gets a good opportunity and likes the story! She says that her husband, Dr. Ajilesh chacko, Doesn't mind her acting and that she is getting a lot of support from him and her family.
